September is here and there is a lot happening this month. Our youth are heading back to school and September 8th is International Literacy Day. Children who receive consistent, nurturing and support are more likely to function well in school. A great way to provide this support is to by tutoring them in academics or helping them with literacy skills, or perhaps help out with an afterschool program. Regardless of what you choose, when you become a volunteer, you help students in our community succeed in school and become prepared for life ahead.
